Flow Heater BT is a flow heater that can be controlled through a mobile device. The special technology ensures that the heating is smooth and the temperature is precisely set. The aquarium mounted on the outside does not take up space inside and increases the freedom of arrangement.
The same heater for different aquarium capacity and fish that like different temperature? With Flow Heater BT it’s possible!
Thanks to special technology, you program the heater for the right power every 50 watts. Thanks to this, with one device you will provide comfort to animals with a variety of thermal needs. You can set the temperature with an accuracy of 0.1 Celsius in the range of 19 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Start-up and control
Turn your phone or tablet into a mobile command point with aquarium equipment! You can connect the Flow Heater BT heater via Bluetooth and control it with the dedicated AQUAEL BT application. Just download the app in the store in the App Store or Google Play. The operation of the application itself is intuitive and very readable.
On the housing of the heater there are diodes, the glow of which informs about the status of the device. The Power diode glows white – it means the correct connection of the heater to the current. When you pair your Flow Heater BT with a mobile device, a blue Bluetooth diode will light up. The heater is ready to go. The last diode of Status signals green. The pulsing of the Status diode in green means that the heater heats the water to the set temperature.
To reboot the device, press and hold the button on the housing before inserting the device into the power supply and at the same time turn on the heater to the power supply. This will bring the heater to the factory settings.
Bluetooth application support
The Aquael BT application gives a wide range of possibilities to use the functionality of the heater.
In constant mode, you will set the specific temperature and maximum power of the heater. On the phone you can also check the current temperature, as well as historical indications of the thermometer.
Day&Night mode offers an even wider range of possibilities. In the application, you can freely set the daily temperature and night temperature. You will also determine the time of sunrise and sunset. The changes happen mildly, without stressful jumps. Program the mode change time within max. 180 min. every 15 minutes.
The device can be set on the scale of Celsius or Farrenheit. You can also choose how to notify about exceeding the set temperature (heating alarm). In the application, you can also set an individual PIN code to protect your own settings.
Wide range of power
One heater for each aquarium – this is how you can briefly describe our Flow Heater BT. The precise controller sets the water insulation at exactly the level you need. Power changes with one click at intervals every 50 W. The power range is very wide – from 50 to as much as 500 W!

Additional functionalities resulting from BT settings
In Fixed mode, you will precisely set the temperature and maximum power of the heater.
But that’s not all her options. We also equipped the Flow Heater BT with Day&Night mode. It is a technology that maximally draws the conditions in the tank closer to those occurring in nature and acts in accordance with the rhythm of changes taking place in nature. You can vary the temperature in the tank for this day, but also decrease gently after dark, when in natural conditions the heat in the water drops.
Thermometer function and measurement history
The application acts as a mobile thermometer. On the main display there is the current temperature in the tank. The reading is precise – to one decimal place. You will see any unwanted changes on your phone immediately.
In addition, you can track the history of heating changes. In the “history” tab there is a preview of the work of a given heater. You can observe the heating changes up to 7 days back.
Intelligent power selection
Flow Heater BT is equipped with Smart Heating System (SHS). It’s intelligent power regulation technology. With SHS, the heating power automatically adjusts to maintain the desired temperature in the aquarium.
This is taken care of by the microprocessor placed inside. This mechanism translates into a smooth operation of the heater. Forget about the temperature spikes in the aquarium and the same stress for its inhabitants.
Precise temperature
Thanks to the appropriate systems, the device consumes only the necessary amount of energy to properly heat the tank. Heated water evenly fills the entire aquarium. This is because the device is located on the external filter outlet hose.
On your smartphone, you will check not only the programmed, but also the current water temperature. Thus, the heater can also be used as a thermometer, which in addition you can wear all the time with you.
Flow Heater BT works with an accuracy of ± 0.1°C. The temperature range is wide – from 19°C to 33°C. You can set the temperature comfortably on the screen of the phone literally with one move. You will appreciate the possibility of simple temperature increase in specific situations, e.g. during the treatment of certain fish diseases. Then there can be warmer conditions, thanks to which the treatment will proceed faster and more effectively.
You will not overheat the aquarium in the event of any failure. A special system will inform you about unwanted changes. Electronic sensors automatically shut down the device in no-flow conditions.
Freedom of arrangement
Flow Heater BT is mounted outside the aquarium, on the outlet hose of the canister filter. Thanks to this, the heater does not take up space inside, which gives more freedom of arrangement. This will work especially, for example, in natural aquariums, where the creators want to imitate the natural aquatic environment as much as possible.
The heater will be used in both freshwater and marine aquariums. You do not need to dip it in water, so worry about the possible corrosive effect of salt water. It will also be used by lovers of paludaria or aquariums.
Aquael advice
Does your tank have really big needs? Mount more than 1 Heater BT heater – on both Hypermax BT filter outlet hoses or in all buckets if your aquarium supports more than just one filter.
Universal application thanks to the power settings of the heater in the application
The heater will satisfy lovers of small, but also quite large tanks. Depending on the litre and the needs of your aquarium, you can choose the specific temperature to which the water will be heated. Such a solution allows you to apply the same heater just as well to smaller and larger aquariums. Thanks to its versatility, Flow Heater BT will work perfectly in aquariums with a capacity of 60 to as much as 1 thousand liters.
The heater can be mounted on hoses with a diameter of 16/22 mm or 19/25. This is allowed by interchangeable connectors, perfectly matched to the size of the hoses.
Safety and convenience
The Flow Heater BT heater perfectly protects the tank from overheating. This is guarded by as many as 5 electronic temperature sensors. When they detect that the water has stopped flowing through the heater, the device will automatically shut down.

The convenience of mounting the heater
We thought that the surroundings around your aquarium were as orderly as possible. If you want, you can additionally attach the heater housing in two ways:.
• Use strong suction cups and attach the heater to the outer surface of the aquarium glass
• After disassembling the suction cups, you can drill the equipment, e.g. in the interior of the delivery cabinet (screws are not included in the set)
For the Flow Heater BT heater, we recommend the following accessories canister filters from the Aquael offer:

• Ultramax 1000, 1500 and 2000
• Ultra 900, 1200 and 1400
The complete heater must be hanged vertically. (Please read the Installation and Activation instructions before use). If installed horizontally, there is a possibility that air may collect inside the tube within the heater. Causing the internal sensors to misread the temperature, which may result in the heater either stopping the heating process or continuously heating the water, and may even cause the heater’s cover to melt.
