Description
The "産卵箱DX(L)" (Dual in tank breeding box DX(L) is designed primarily for breeding live-bearing fish and isolating weaker fish, and it works as follows:
- Breeding Live-Bearing Fish: It features slits at the bottom that allow only the fry to fall through, effectively separating them from the parent fish. This design is ideal for live-bearing fish like guppies and platies.
- Water Circulation: The box is equipped with an regulated air shower system that creates water flow within the box. This requires a separate air pump and air tube to be connected to the L-shaped joint, which supplies fresh air.
- Feeding: It includes a feeding hole on the lid, allowing for easy feeding without needing to open the entire lid.
- Installation and Maintenance: The box is attached to the inside wall of the aquarium using suction cups. These suction cups and the air stone are consumables and should be replaced periodically. It is also easily removable for cleaning.
- Isolation: Besides breeding, it can also be used as an isolation box for weaker fish or for breeding Betta fish.
